X-MAS CELEBRATION 🎄✨🌟

   Christmas celebration was conducted by Dheeksha college union. It was a wonderful event. We all really enjoyed a lot. Christmas programmes were conducted by various departments such as christmas song, dance etc. The programme ended at 1pm. with delicious cake distribution.

SOCIAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATION DAY✨

   Today Social Science department inaugurated their association. The programme was conducted by first year social science students at the seminar hall from 1.30 pm to 4 pm. The association programmes were so attractive, good and appreciable.

 

WORKSHOP ON STRESS MANAGEMENT

        As part of B.Ed curriculum under University of Kerala, Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakara has organized a workshop on stress management   on 14th of November 2022 at the General Seminar Hall, from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Principal Roy sir  coordinator of the programme welcomed the gathering and our resource person Dr. Joju John , professor in education and lifeskill Trainer, Mar Theophilus Training College, Nalanchira, Trivandrum.

    The college chairman, Mr. Jishnu Vijay, on behalf of the staff and students, extended heartfelt thanks to the resources person and the audience.

FAIR WELL 💐💐

          On 11th of November 2022, DHEEKSHA college Union under the chairmanship of Mr. Jishnu Vijay has organized the farewell party 'ADIEV' at the general seminar hall.Apart from this, awards were also given to the students who achieved good academic results. Certificates of College Arts held in the month of March 2022 were also distributed.

COLLEGE MAGAZINE INAUGURATION & COLLEGE DAY

  On 10th November 2022 the new college Magazine inauguration and college day was celebrated. The program was inaugurated by comedy artist ,Deepu Navaykulam. After the formal section, voilenist Balu Prasad musical performance.  The program was enjoyable for us.

TOUR REFLECTION ✨️

 Tour days reflection were conducted on 09/11/2022. Team leaders of one day tour, three days tour and five days tour were shared their experience and special moments in the reflection session.

✨️✨️TOUR AT VAYANAD AND COORG✨️✨️

  An educational tour is a part of the academic experience in most schools and colleges. Such tours help students to understand firsthand about various subjects. It offer students of all Classes an opportunity for a rich immersion experience. Educational trips are always a fun, enriching and learning experience for both students and faculty members at a personal and professional level.

    As a part of B.Ed curriculum we, the first year students of Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College planned to conduct an educational tour. For the convenience of students and teachers aur college has decided to conduct 3 set of tours to provide an opportunity for all students to participate in the tour programme according to their financial and physical condition or health. The first group planned to explore Goa, second group planned to explore Wayanad and the third group organised a one day trip to Trivandrum respectively. I was in the second group. We conducted a 3 day trip to Coorg and Wayanad on 31st October 2022. We started our journey from kottarakara includes 46 students, 3 teaches; a group of 49. The journey started around 2pm. We reached at Alappuzha Beach by 4:30 p.m, the first destination of our trip. It was for entertainment purpose only. After that we reached Ernakulam and explored Lulu mall and Kochi Metro. After having dinner we restarted our journey to Coorg, a rural district in the Indian state of Karnataka.

      We reached at morning 8 a.m. and stay at Gateway Inn hotel. After having breakfast, we started to explore the beauty of Coorg. Firstly we decided to go for river rafting. It was a new experience to most of the participants in our tour. The next destination designed for the tour was Golden Temple. It is one of the largest Tibetan settlement in India. Then we moved to bamboo forest by 4:30 p.m. In front of bamboo forest there is a large number of shopping areas where we purchased needed materials at low price. Thereafter we moved to enjoy DJ session at Coorg. It was for the enjoyment and entertainment for students. The first day of our tour ended with having dinner and reached at our hotel by 9 pm.

   

    An educational tour is a fun – filled experience. As the tour may be too far away places, it is an opportunity for students to have a jolly time together. As a teacher trainee, it was an unforgettable memory and experience. It helps to learn through visual experience. It creates a sense of teamwork and community among the students as they experience a field trip together. I got an opportunity to participate in the tour program. It offers an opportunity for immersion of experience. Not only that, it makes life memories with friends, which is no doubt a fun learning experience in itself.

MODELS OF TEACHING CRITICISM CLASS

        As part of the B Ed curriculum a criticism class was carried out based on models of teaching.I took Advance organizer model. After that they critised me for the improvement of taking the lessons.They told me I was delivered the content clearly.But only small mistakes use in chart.It was a nice experience to hear what mistakes I have made.So I could correct it in the next classes.

🎉WARM WELCOME TO FRESHERS 💐

   Fresher's day for first year students was organised by the Dheeksha college union on 21st October 2022. All first year students went in the stage for introducing themselves and also they did tasks given by the seniors. The day was really good and also an opportunity to interact with juniors.

WORKSHOP ON LIFE SKILL

   Life skills are abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable humans to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of life.This concept is also termed as psychosocial competency. The subject varies greatly depending on social norms and community expectations but skills that function for well-being and aid individuals to develop into active and productive members of their communities are considered as life skills.

   As part of B. Ed curriculum under University of Kerala, Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakara has organized a workshop on life skill development (EDU 06) on 18th of October 2022 at the General Seminar Hall, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sri. Riju John, coordinator of the programme welcomed the gathering and our resource person Adv. Sudheer. C. The main objective of the workshop was to build self-confidence, encourage critical thinking, foster independence and help people to communicate more effectively..

SPORTS DAY🏅

   On 14th July annual sports meet was conducted in our college under the guidance of Nibin Sir from the dept of physical education. The sports meet begins with a parade of students and inauguration by principal Roy sir. Each and every students participated in various items...

       I have participated in 800 mtr running and 400 mtr running,shot put and disc throw.I am second position in 800 running and third position in 400 mtr.It was a great opportunity for us to participate in sports the meet.

   The overall championship received by the team Hindolam.
