Onam Festival is the most famous festival celebrated in Kerala, India. The harvest festival of Kerala also called the festival of rain flowers is a ten-day long festival celebrated with fervor across Kerala. It is celebrated during Chingam (a month in Malayalam calendar) that usually starts between mid-August and lasts up to mid-September.
As part of the onam celebration Deeskha college union of Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara has conducted the onam celebration on 1st of September 2022 from 8 am.The celebration started with a flash mob from both 1st and 2nd year students. Then followed by various competitions. There was a thiruvathira which includes the teachers and M. Ed students. After that we had onam sadhya. They cancelled the Uriyadi because of the weather condition. Finally the moment has arrived that we waited all day long, that is, Vadamvali (Tug of war). Natural Science was the winner.
