Yoga is an ancient and complex practice, in Indian philosophy. It began as a spiritual practice but has become popular as a way of promoting physical and mental well-being.Although classical yoga also includes other elements, yoga as practiced in the United States typically emphasizes physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama),and meditation (dyana).

Yoga help to improve general wellness by relieving stress, supporting good health habits, and improving mental/emotional health, sleep, and balance. Relieve low-back pain and neck pain, and possibly pain from tension-type headaches and knee osteoarthritis.Help people who are overweight or obese lose weight etc. Help improve general wellness by relieving stress, supporting good health habit, and improving mental/emotional health, sleep, and balance.

Before beginning with the asanas, we were asked to do the stretching exercises. Stretching keep the muscles flexible, strong and healthy. Without it, the muscles shorten and becomes tight.

We initially begins with Padmasana It is also known as Lotus Posture. Padmasana is a cross-legged yoga posture which helps deepen meditation by calming the mind and alleviating various physical ailments.

Siddhasana Which is also known as accomplished pose or perfect pose, is a beginner level yoga position. By practicing this position one can improve his posture.

Vajrasana activates vajra nadi which promote good digestion and aids liver function. This is the only asana which can be practiced right after having food. The vajrasana position obstruct the blood flow to the lower part of the body- thighs and legs.

Salabhasana ,This asana is really helpful to stretch one's back muscles, chest and spine to make one feel energized and rejuvenated. Salabhasana helps to reduce excessive fat. It is helpful to rectify neck pain, strengthen neck muscle.

Bhujangasana, strengthens the neck and back muscles. It will give more flexibility to the vertebral column. It will develop the concentration and memory power. It will enlarge the thoratic cavity.

Yoga-mudhra, this is one of the most anti-aging pose that one can practice in order to feel and stay young for a long time. This pose helps in awakening inner self and also promote positive health.

Naukasana It tones the abdominal muscles and stretches the whole body.

And finally Shavasana, This pose gets its name from the recumbent posture of a dead body. It is a position of rest and relaxation, and is practiced towards the end of a yoga session. This posture bring a deep, meditative state of rest, which may help in the repair of tissues and cells, and in releasing stress.
